Reuters reporting one bank analyst stating the Greece leaving the Euro is now a case of 'when' rather than 'if'.

One gets the sense that Greece and the Eurozone countries would both like to see Greece exit as another election looms there.

it is noticeable in recent weeks that more banks and others are looking to me in order to help sell their products.
Deposits are in demand by all although some are also pushing hedging and one stockbroker is looking to link up on the investment product side.

Most of them would be offering either introduction fees or some element of a share in the first year business transacted.

On the interest rate front, rates remain extremely low. I would be very happy to develop strategy in this area sooner rather than later for many of you as there may be problems around fixing in due course as a result of market developments.

I reiterate the view that once rates start moving up, we are unlikely to see these levels again for a long time. So the strategic need to get it right this time is very high.

EU consumer confidence fell for the first time in 4 months in April.

Meanwhile the February trade balance in the Eurozone was a surplus of €2.8bn compared to a deficit of the same magnitude 12 months ago.

March inflation was confirmed at 2.7%. Rising government bonds yields continue to be an area of concern in the Eurozone.

Eurozone sovereign debt beings to gather momentum as a story again.

Spain saw industrial output fall for the 6th month in a row in February resulting in an annual fall of 5.1%.

The cost of borrowing for 1-year in Italy rose from 1.40% in mid-March to 2.70% last week.
